Pentavitin is a carbohydrate complex consisting of different sugars e.g. glucose, galactose and lactose. It has long been known that (sorbitol) has a moisture-retaining effect. Now it has become possible to extract and formulate this carbohydrate complex in such a way that moisture is even better retained in the skin so that it does not dry out. Pentavitin makes "rough" skin smoother and softer
